Sanita Size Chart How should my clogs fit? There should be a pinky-sized gap between your heel and the back of the clog. The snuggest fit should be across the instep, and the toe box should feel roomy. For slight fit adjustments, pinch or pull the adjustable heel cup or pull the clog apart slightly by the instep. For half-sizes, we recommend sizing up. Sanita - The Original Danish Clog, handcrafted in Europe since 1907. Shop the Original When choosing your next pair of clogs, make sure you choose the original Danish clog: Sanita Handcrafted in Europe since 1907, Sanita clogs have been supporting generations of professionals. Over a century ago, Christen Meldgaard Andersen opened a shoe shop in Herning, Denmark, where he made the first pairs of Sanita clogs for local masons, farmers, and bakers. Today, we continue our strong European workwear tradition and design our clogs in our native Denmark and handcraft them in our factory in Poland. Often imitated, Sanita clogs are unmatched in support, design, and expert craftsmanship. You’ll find our clogs worn in high-end restaurants, busy hospital wards, small-town salons, kindergarten classrooms, and everywhere else in-between. Sanita remains deeply rooted in history, and maintains the same principles that went into making our first clog all those years ago: simple, ergonomic design and quality you can count on. Sanita works. Caring for your Sanita Clogs Printed/Embossed Leather Upper Use a soft dry cloth to wipe off any dirt and maintain sheen on your printed leather clogs. I’ve had other brands and more expensive too. They didn’t meet my expectations as well as my Sanitas. If you are on your feet for more then 8 hours at a time you will love these. **Note** be dedicated to the feeling of these clogs. You’re back and arches will love you for it.Chef GR EdelsteinI use these shoes to be comfortable standing over 8 hours a day. Very comfortable shoes. If they seem to hurt you, you aren't walking softly in them. They give firm support, think Birkenstock, or Sealy Posturepedic. If you want to speed up your transition: lift your feet, don't "push off" try to land softly, it helps to not allowed a full extension of the knee. If keeping the knee very slightly bent is hard you are probably "pushing off" or pushing your toes into the ground for forward propultion. Listen to your foot falls. The closer to parallel to the ground your foot hits the less pressure the same force will create. Pressure equals pounds decided by inches squared ( psi ) and the flatter you land the larger the amount of square inches there will be.Fit: I have noticed some think of the shoes as narrow and some think of them as wide / loose. In my case they were loose. This is not a supprise to me. Look at your foot. Is it tall compared to other feet, about the same or short in terms of height? Now ask the same thing of your foot's width. Mine is short in terms of height. This means I am a low volume foot. Annoyingly they don't make this exact shoe in " narrow." When you buy a " narrow " Sanita it is on the same sole / platform as the normal ( and perhaps the wide would be also, but my foot is low volume so I did not ask that question of them, sorry... ). What changes when you buy a narrow in this brand is the amount of room at the toe under the leather changes to much less. When you size down, such as I had to to make this shoe work at all, they get shorter more as much as tighter at the top of your foot. I have bought this in the size 43 normal width as well as the oiled style in the size 44 narrow width. I am a measured normal width size ten, who is just barely more than an exact size ten in terms of length, and dead on normal width in measure. The thing is that both the width and the height of a foot are necessary when picking out a shoe that is shaped like a human foot at the toe box. This probably would have been a five star review if the " narrow " had been available in this style ( above size 43 any way, at size 43 and below you can get a woman's shoe which is snapped more narrowly, however I wouldn't know if it is the same platform or not, and wouldn't think it would be ).Overall, I'm pretty happy with this pair of clogs. It's true, they do run a bit small - not in the length as that runs relatively true but in the width of the shoe. I'm a size 8.5-9 and this pair of 43 (9.5-10) fit me pretty well and was still slightly tight in the toebox in terms of width. So what should you order? I'd say go a at least pick the higher of the two if you're in between and if you have wide-ish feet, go 1 full size higher. Don't worry about the length because the way you walk in the shoes, you're heel is supposed to lift off from the back anyways.Does it get stretched out/break in? - the padding and softness of the soles certainly do but the width didn't as dramatically. The side stiches are heavy duty and the side walls are relatively thick in this shoe so I don't see this stretching out for quite some time. How does it look? - It's not fashionable but it doesn't attract attention either. It also boosts you about an inch higher with the heel.Durability? - 2 months in and no major creases in the top surface of the toebox. No other signs of wear or tear.Comfort level walking vs standing? - I believe this shoe is made for standing as opposed to walking. My heel gets sore as the day goes on when standing and this shoe has a raised heel that makes you stand as if you are on your tippy toes. It redistributes your weight more evenly between the heels and the balls of your feet. I've also had to walk a ton at work in these shoes (1-2 miles daily because it's a large place) and you feel a bit of the heft of these shoes walking that much. But I didn't get aches and pains in my calves or other parts of my feet in these shoes walking. Why 4 stars? - Propensity to roll your ankles. I'd avoid this if you've seriously injured your ankles by rolling it in the past 1-2 years. Definitely avoid if you still roll your ankles in regular shoes just walking. This shoe is relatively narrow and high. So like an SUV, roll over accidents seem to happen spontaneously until you learn to pay attention by not stepping to the side in a carefree manner. I rolled my right ankle twice in the first day (I've injured this one before). Then 2 more times in the past 2 months. None of it was serious at all but I did look like a fool. I'd say 10-20% of people might experience this occasionally. This doesn't prevent me from wearing this though.Been wearing this clog for several days now and have grown to like it. I state "grown" because my first impression was that the clog might be too small and too hard on my feet. The size misperception was based on how narrow the clog appeared, but it fit fine with plenty of room at the toes. The hardness is due to the stiff sole construction which is unlike a "conventional" shoe. The arch seemed too high at first, but my foot seemed to adjust to the platform over the course of an afternoon. The clog does not "cinch" to the foot as with laced shoes and offers space behind the heel so the foot "floats" within the clog as one walks -- this design took me a bit of getting used to, and I wonder if some reviewers who didn't like the fit were responding in part to this design? My "fit as expected" selection is based on fit expectations formed after I experienced the clog design and not to how I would expect a conventional shoe to fit.I still would not want to run in these clogs for fear that they might slip off, but then why would I run when I can saunter comfortably? Based on this Cabrio, I ordered the Sanita Oil Clog as a second pair that should arrive later this week, and I'll be sure to post comments after I try them out.súper cómodos, excelente relación entre calidad y precio, muy resistentesMy husband loves these. I will buy him the brown for his birthday in December. Great quality.Fit as expected order a size larger, well made and comfortable, I'll order these again. Its really good but after 4 weeks of using it the wooden sole started chiping and hot glucose fell into my shoe and created a small hole
